Isaac works as a Distractor in a War that is invisible to normal human eyes. Unbeknownst to him, he and his partner Hannah have a unique position in this Army because The Almighty God has plans to call them to a higher purpose for the good of humanity. Called to sacrifice their own wants and desires—including each other—they grapple with wanting to be obedient to God and having to give up their entire selves for the Greater Plan. Hannah is called to go on a secret mission for God without Isaac and ends up losing her memories of him and of being a Distractor. Isaac then goes on his own mission to figure out why she lost her memories, including summoning an Angel and even making a deal with the Devil.

In 2020, I had the privilege of presenting my thesis project, Heaven’s Wars, as a work-in-progress at the Kentucky Honors Roundtable. Heaven’s Wars is now on its way to being published.

In 2018, I presented a creative nonfiction piece, The Trailer, at the Sigma Tau Delta convention.
