I write.

I asked God one time if I’m meant to be a writer, and He said yes, so I’m just doing what I’m told. I’ve wanted to be an author of stories since I was a child, and I’m working on it, but I also write nonfiction and memoir and lots and lots of emails (if you’re not getting Leah’s Letters, you should be!).

I have five works in progress (WIPs), which I outline to the right. These are my main projects right now, in addition to the sermons and things I write for my job.

I presented a nonfiction piece at an International English Honors Society conference in 2018 titled The Trailer. I passed my Thesis Project (for which I wrote a novel) with honors in 2020. For publications, I’m querying agents this year!

Keep up with my progress here.

  • What if you could see the angels who are fighting your demons? Isaac can. And he’s going to figure out why Hannah can’t anymore.

The first book of Heaven’s Wars was my Honors Thesis Project in undergrad, and I’m currently querying it to see where God takes it! I’m working on outlining the sequel, a second standalone novel about a character we meet in the first book. I call this writing project HW2.

  • Grace fell through a portal to another world and can’t seem to find her way home. Or is home with the group of people who help her on the journey?

I’ve been working on Faust for upwards of 10 years, and I finally crossed the finish line of the first draft! I’ve been brainstorming the sequel, and I’m very excited to keep going with my darling project.

  • As a princess who’s half dragon and half human, Selen is really tired of people telling her what to do. Wait, did you say prophecy?

DRAGON is my fun fantasy that’s still in it’s early outline stages. I have several books lined up, an epic series, and I’m working on ironing out all the kinks of what exactly these characters get up to. Who knew worldbuilding could be so fun!

  • When Adaline’s soulmate rejects her, she joins the resistance to topple the entire soulmate system. And look who happens to be second-in-command when she arrives.

This novel is a baby, only an inkling of an outline simmering on the side while I finish up my more formed stories. PD is different than anything I’ve ever seriously tried, and I’m excited to give it a go in a few years!

  • If I had a nickel for every time I went on a date with a married man, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but isn’t it weird that it happened twice?

This novel is still in its early drafting stages, and it’s for all those who have lived whole lives in their heads.
